Ball Control
Checked
In one sentence
Ball Control decides how cleanly a player controls a pass from a teammate, and how good his feint touches are.
Who does this affect?
The player receiving a teammate's pass (balls from opponents use Tackling)
99
Build target
The heavy-touch push falls with every point and reaches zero at 99; it falls a little faster near the top. Every point to 99 counts.
How it works
His first touch pushes the ball away from him less as Ball Control rises; at 99 that push is gone. A teammate's ground pass is controlled cleanly up to 70 km/h at 40 and 80 km/h at 99, or faster if he has time to react. Even at 99 a small random direction error remains.
What a point buys
| 40 → 59 | −0.14 km/h push |
| 60 → 89 | −0.20 km/h |
| 90 → 99 | −0.21 km/h |
| 78, 95, 111 | −1 tick to act after the touch |
Booster points: Boosters help a little: +1.5 km/h on the clean-control limit, better control of lifted balls, and 111 saves one more tick.

Common questions
Does Ball Control help normal dribbling?
Short answerNo
Top speed, touch timing and dribble planning never read it. In the dribble code it only affects feint touches.
Does Ball Control matter when intercepting?
Short answerNo
When the ball was last played by an opponent, the first touch uses Tackling.
Is the first touch perfect at 99?
Short answerNo
The push is gone, but a small random direction error and speed leak remain.
The maths
DetailClean control limits (40 → 99): teammate ground pass 70 → 80 km/h, teammate lifted pass 50 → 60 km/h, bouncing or opponent balls 45–50 → 50–60 km/h. Over the limit with too little time, he plays a reflex trap instead.
DetailEven at 99 the touch keeps a random direction error of ±5° (±10° in the air) and part of the ball's extra speed when he runs onto it (10 % at 99, 45 % at 40).
LimitOn a weak-foot touch Ball Control counts 20 / 13 / 6 / 0 lower for Weak Foot Accuracy levels 1–4.
DetailA feint touch on a fast ball (above 36 km/h) can fail: at 50 km/h the chance falls from 86 % at 40 to 59 % at 99 and 56 % at 105.
