Kicking Power

Checked
In one sentence
Kicking Power adds about 0.3 km/h of long-range shot speed per point. It barely touches passing.

Who does this affect?

Shots of every kind, laces kicks, penalties and long set-piece deliveries
linear to 120
Build target
Shot speed rises in a straight line from 40 to 120, boosters included, at no accuracy cost. Every point is worth the same.

How it works

Shot speed comes from two tables (stat 40 and stat 99) blended in a straight line with no cap. Kicking Power does not change how far a kick strays in direction or height; using more of the power gauge is what costs accuracy. There is one small link: a very hard kick close to the Kicking Power speed cap tends to come out a little slower than planned.

Shot type (25 m+)

Stunning Shot+0.21 km/h
controlled shot+0.13 km/h

Booster points: Boosters count in full: the line keeps going to 120.

Common questions

Does Kicking Power matter for passing?
Short answerBarely
Passes are planned from the passing stats, distance and the power you use; Kicking Power plays no part in aiming or choosing a pass. It only sets a top-speed cap that every kick passes through, so it matters for the hardest, longest passes and clearances, and it adds speed to long free kicks and corners.
Does Kicking Power cost accuracy?
Short answerMostly no
Kicking Power does not change how far a kick strays in direction or height, and never raises mishit chance. The one link: it sets the top speed of a kick, and a very hard kick close to that top speed tends to come out a little slower than planned, so low Kicking Power slightly shrinks the hardest kicks.

The maths

DetailClose to goal it barely matters: from 5 m a normal shot goes 81.7 → 85 km/h.
DetailStunning Shots use their own, faster speed table: at full power 88–108 km/h at 40 and 90–120 km/h at 99, depending on distance.
DetailPenalties: Kicking Power adds up to 10 km/h at 99 on a near-full gauge.
DetailLong free kicks and corners get up to +8 km/h at 99 (+15 at 120) at full power; each extra point adds a little more.
LimitLaces kicks (full instep strikes, including long passes and clearances) have a top-speed ceiling that rises with Kicking Power: about 100 km/h at 40, 120 at 90, 125 at 99.
