Blitz Curler
New moveChecked
In one sentence
Controlled Shots at 50 % power or more become a topspin curler: up to 4 km/h faster with high Kicking Power, dipping more with higher Curl, with 30 % smaller speed and height errors and a capped launch. It adds no Finishing and replaces his normal curl shot.
Who does this affect?
Both: the shot works the same for the player you control and for CPU players. CPU players with the skill also take Controlled Shots from up to 25 m.
How it works
With the power bar at 50 % or more, his Controlled Shot uses a special kick that players without the skill never use. The ball gets forward topspin that grows with Curl (the ordinary curl shot has slight backspin), keeps 60–100 % of its sidespin, gains up to 4 km/h that grows with Kicking Power, and two of its error terms (speed and height) are cut by 30 %. Its launch angle is capped, so long Blitz shots stay low. The ordinary curl kicks are switched off for him, also below 50 % power.
When it applies
- Controlled Shot, power bar 50 % or more.
- Stronger foot (or Weak Foot Accuracy at its top level), and the shot not aimed more than 20° across to the wrong side for his kicking foot.
- Below 50 % power there is no Blitz kick, and the ordinary curl kicks are also blocked for him; the game then uses another kick.
Without it
Controlled Shots use the ordinary curl kicks: slight backspin, full sidespin, no speed bonus and the normal error sizes.
Which stats it reads
Kicking Power sets how strong
Speed bonus: about 1 km/h at 70, 2.9 at 90, 4 km/h at 99, 5.4 at 120. It grows faster than the stat up to 99; boosters keep adding about 0.07 km/h per point. High Kicking Power also lowers the launch slightly.
Curl sets how strong
Sets how much topspin (dip) the Blitz shot gets: almost all of the gain comes between 60 and 90, little from 90 to 99, and a little more per booster point. It also raises the launch slightly within the cap.

Common questions
Does Blitz Curler make the shot more accurate?
Short answerPartly
No Finishing points, but 30 % smaller speed and height errors on the Blitz kick.
Is it better with high Kicking Power?
Short answerYes
The speed bonus is 0 at 40, about 1 km/h at 70 and 4 km/h at 99 (5.4 at 120).
Does Curl matter for Blitz Curler?
Short answerYes
Curl sets how much topspin (dip) the Blitz shot gets.
Does it work with the weak foot?
Short answerPartly
Only with Weak Foot Accuracy at its top level.
Not yet confirmed
- The foot rule is read as 'kicking with the stronger foot'.
- Which kick the game uses for a Blitz player's Controlled Shot under 50 % power was not fully traced.
- The units of the launch cap (read as degrees) and that the two smaller errors are speed and height were read from the code, not measured.
- That positive spin means topspin follows the game's spin convention as read.
The maths
ConditionNeeds 50 % power or more; below that he has no curl shot on that button (the ordinary curls are off for Blitz players).
BendCurl 60 → 90 gives three quarters of the topspin gain; 90 → 99 adds little.
DetailTopspin is strongest at 80 %+ power and under 25 m; sidespin is reduced to 60–100 % of a normal curl.
LimitLaunch angle capped at 23 (from 25 m or closer) rising to 25 at 35 m, read as degrees, so the shot cannot balloon.
DetailNo Finishing bonus of its own. With Long-range Curler too: +5 Finishing and up to 3 km/h more on the Blitz kick.
DetailNot used by this skill: Finishing — the skill adds no accuracy points of its own. With Long-range Curler as well, the Blitz kick gets that skill's +5 and its extra speed.; Weak Foot Accuracy — not part of the effect; it only decides whether the Blitz kick is allowed on the weaker foot (top level only).
