Tight Possession

In one sentence
Tight Possession makes dribble touches come sooner and speeds up the touch rhythm when turning.
Who does this affect?
The ball carrier, whether you or the CPU controls him
90
Build target
Most of the gain is between 60 and 90. From 90 the touch interval barely moves.
How it works
The shortest time between two dribble touches goes from 0.23 s at 40 to 0.18 s at 99, at any speed. Below 20 km/h, after a turn of 45° or more, the wait before the next touch falls from 0.49 s to 0.40 s.
What a point buys
| 40 → 59 | −0.3 ms per touch |
| 60 → 89 | −1.5 ms |
| 90 → 120 | −0.6 ms |
Booster points: Boosters count, but 99 → 120 saves only 0.013 s per touch.

Common questions
Does Tight Possession matter at speed?
Short answerPartly
Touch interval and turn rhythm have no speed limit; only the slow-turn wait is below 20 km/h. It does not change top speed.
The maths
DetailWhen he turns the ball by 22.5° or more, the touch rhythm speeds up: ×1.02 at 40 to ×1.20 at 99 for turns of 45° or more, at any speed.
ConditionAcceleration Burst adds about 4 points of Tight Possession when sprinting off from below 20 km/h.
LimitWhen the ball holder's sprint reserve is below 21 %, his dribble animations play as if Tight Possession, Dribbling and Acceleration were up to 20 lower.
