Unlocks the longer curling outside-of-the-boot passes (10 to 40 m), short outside-foot crosses, a dink and outside-foot shots; long balls bent with the outside of the foot keep 30 to 50 % of their sidespin instead of 25 %.
Who does this affect?
Both: motion choice and spin run for your kicks and the CPU's. A few extra uses only change CPU decisions.
How it works
Everyone can bend a short pass with the outside of the boot (under 15 m, and 15 to 27 m on some passes). Outside Curler adds the longer curling outside-foot passes of 10 to 24 m and 24 to 35 m (up to 40 m along the ground), an angled outside-foot pass of 16 to 25 m, a short dink under 10 m, outside-foot crosses under 20 m and outside-foot shots. These are tried before the normal outside-foot motions. On lofted balls curled toward the outside of his foot he also keeps more of the sidespin: 30 % rising to 50 % between 23 and 30 m, instead of 25 %.
When it applies
The game only uses the outside of the boot when a pass is to be bent and the direction suits the outside of his kicking foot.
Passes: curling outside-foot passes of 10 to 24 m and 24 to 35 m (24 to 40 m along the ground); an angled pass of 16 to 25 m at 15 to 60 degrees; a dink under 10 m (stronger foot, or weak-foot level 4).
Crosses: outside-foot crosses under 20 m.
Shots: outside-foot shots angled 15 to 50 degrees, or struck with 70 to 85 % power (another version up to 70 %).
Ground passes: with Low Pass under 70 (on the card and in the match) most outside-foot versions are skipped, for every player.
No random chance.
Without it
Only the basic outside-foot passes exist (under 15 m, and 15 to 27 m on some passes, up to 45 m on some lofted crosses), there are no outside-foot shots, and outside curl keeps only 25 % of the sidespin.
Which stats it reads
Low Passdecides if it happens
Ground passes: below 70 (both on the card and in the match) most outside-foot versions are skipped. Reaching 70 either way opens them.
Curl and Set Piece Takingsets how strong
They set the size of the sidespin before the outside-foot cut (Curl counts 60 %, Set Piece Taking 40 %). Higher still means more bend; booster points keep adding.
Weak Foot Accuracydecides if it happens
The short dink needs the stronger foot or weak-foot level 4.

Common questions
Can players without Outside Curler use the outside of the boot?
Short answerPartly
Yes for short outside-foot passes; the longer curling ones and outside-foot shots need the skill.
Does Outside Curler make outside-foot passes more accurate?
Short answerNo
No. It unlocks motions and keeps more curl; accuracy is not touched.
Does Curl matter for outside-foot balls?
Short answerYes
Yes. Curl (with Set Piece Taking) sets the spin size before the outside-foot cut.
Is Low Pass relevant?
Short answerYes
Yes. Below Low Pass 70 most outside-foot ground passes are skipped.
Not yet confirmed
Exactly which pass directions make the game choose the outside of the boot was not pinned down (it depends on internal foot and side values).
The maths
DetailShort outside-foot passes exist for everyone; the skill adds the longer curling ones, the dink, short outside-foot crosses and outside-foot shots.
ConditionGround passes need Low Pass 70 (card or match) for most outside-foot versions, with or without the skill.
BendOutside-foot sidespin kept: 25 % without the skill; 30 % with it up to 23 m, rising to 50 % at 30 m.
DetailNo accuracy bonus.
