Only a Front Line Pressure forward can be given the computer's front-line pressing job. While doing it he does not use his top running level until he is close to his target; Defensive Engagement decides how close (3 to 7 m).
Who does this affect?
Only while the computer controls him (a computer-run team-mate or an opponent). The running-level rule checks that he is not the player you control. Found on: Compatible positions in the code: CF, SS, LWF, RWF. No card in the card data we have carries it yet (the game marks it as released).
How it works
When the opponents have the ball near him, the computer can hand a Front Line Pressure forward a pressing job that no other player can get (he must be within 20 m and pass an angle check). While he is that presser and the computer controls him, he is held to the second-highest of five running levels as long as he is more than 3–7 m from his target; inside that distance he may go flat out. Higher Defensive Engagement makes that all-out distance longer. The style also moves his place in the forward line by up to 4 m, but which way it moves him could not be settled from the code and was not measured.
When it applies
Only when deployed at CF, SS, LWF or RWF. Anywhere else the style is off.
Pressing job: he is within 20 m of the point the job is aimed at and an angle check passes (up to 100°, or 80° in a second case where he is at most 10 m off).
Running-level rule: only while he is the team's front-line presser and the computer controls him.
Without it
A forward without the style is never given the front-line pressing job. The same running-level rule (with his own Defensive Engagement) only applies to other players in a separate situation the code checks.
Which stats it reads
Defensive Engagementsets how strong
Sets the distance from his target inside which he may use his top running level while pressing: 3.0 m at 40, 3.4 m at 60, about 5 m at 80, 6.6 m at 99, 7.0 m at 120. Most of the change is between 60 and 99. Further out he is held one level below top.
In numbers
All-out distance while pressingDistance from his target inside which a Front Line Pressure presser may use the top running level; further out he is held one level lower. Computer-controlled only.

Common questions
Does Front Line Pressure make him sprint more when pressing?
Short answerNo
As the presser he is held one level below his top running level until he is within 3–7 m of the target; only then may he go all out. So he sprints less from far away and bursts late.
Does Defensive Engagement matter for this style?
Short answerYes
It sets how far out his all-out burst starts: 3.4 m at 60, 6.6 m at 99, 7 m at 120.
Can other forwards do the same pressing job?
Short answerNo
The front-line presser role is only filled inside checks for this style.
The maths
ConditionOnly at CF, SS, LWF or RWF.
ConditionPressing job: only Front Line Pressure players are put in the team's front-line presser role; he must be within 20 m and pass an angle check (100°, or 80° when at most 10 m off).
LimitWhile he is that presser (computer-controlled) and more than D m from his target, his running level is capped at 4 of 5.
BendD = 3 m + 4 m × (10 % of the climb from Defensive Engagement 40 to 60, 80 % from 60 to 99, 10 % from 99 to 120).
DetailForward line: his place in the line is shifted by 4 m × (gap between the ball and the line, 0 to 20 m). The size is certain; the direction could not be settled because the formula mixes in the team's attacking direction in a way static reading cannot resolve, and it was not measured.
DetailA defending adjustment that pulls a player's target part of the way towards a second point stored with his assigned job (the pull grows as the ball moves 10–20 m past a team line) is skipped for him.
DetailTwo more checks (one in the run-level code, one in the presser's movement code) branch on the style; they were not traced further.
DetailNot used by this style: Speed and Acceleration are not read by the style's checks (they still decide how fast each running level is).; Stamina: the style is not read by the stamina or tiredness code.; Aggression and Tackling are not read by the style's checks.
