Unlocks a no-look short pass (under 13 m, played almost behind his line of sight) and a no-look finish close to goal. No accuracy or stat effect.
Who does this affect?
Both: the motions are chosen in the kick code for your passes and shots and the CPU's. The trick combinations are CPU-only.
How it works
Only players with the skill can get the no-look pass motion: a short ground pass to a teammate under 13 m away, at least 135 degrees away from the direction he faces, with no opponent within 8 m of him or of the receiver. A no-look shot motion is unlocked near goal too: keeper 5 to 12 m away, a shot angle under 60 degrees, and no outfield opponent within 4 m of the shot's path or within 45 degrees of it. On about 1 in 20 through balls his head turns away from the pass. No defending code reacts to any of this.
When it applies
- No-look pass: a short ground pass to a teammate under 13 m away, at least 135 degrees from where he faces, nobody within 8 m of him or the receiver, open play.
- No-look shot: keeper 5 to 12 m away, a shot angle under 60 degrees, no outfield opponent within 4 m of the shot's path or within 45 degrees of it.
- Head turn: about 1 in 20 through balls.
- CPU only: a few feint combinations need No Look Pass together with Sombrero or Sole Control.
Without it
The no-look pass and no-look shot motions are never chosen; the same passes and shots use normal motions.
