Low Lofted Pass
Who does this affect?
How it works
The game plans every lofted pass with a peak height that drops as Lofted Pass rises: for a long ball about 7.5 m at Lofted Pass 40 and 5.5 m at 99, before a distance correction that is the same with or without the skill. Low Lofted Pass takes up to 0.8 m more off that peak: nothing below 30 m, the full 0.8 m from 50 m, and never below 0.4 m. Separately, when he plays a lofted pass of more than 32 m to a teammate with no opponent within 10 m of him or of the ball's path, the pass is re-planned as a low lob aimed to land at 80 to 90 % of the distance to the receiver. The flight calculation also lets his lofted balls fly a little lower than other players' (lowest allowed height 1.0 to 4.7 m instead of 1.2 to 5.2 m, growing with distance).
When it applies
- A lofted pass. Crosses are planned elsewhere and get nothing from this skill.
- Lower peak: passes over 30 m, the full 0.8 m from 50 m.
- Low lob: over 32 m, open play (not a set piece), to a teammate, and no opponent within 10 m of him or of the line of the pass.
- With Weighted Pass as well, his chipped through balls get extra backspin.
- No random chance.
Without it
The peak stays at the height his Lofted Pass gives, and long passes are never re-planned as a low lob.

Common questions
Not yet confirmed
- How much lower the ball finally flies on the pitch: the planned peak feeds a flight calculation with its own height limits, and the end result was not measured.
- What the low-lob re-plan looks like in play (most likely a lower, shorter ball that bounces on toward the receiver).
